Nick Langford, principal of NLC, has been building for over 30 years. His interest in building started early, completing his first building at 15. In 1988 he completed the two year Building Technology program at British Columbia Institute of Technology with an Architectural major, graduating first place.

Nick’s first custom home project was in Montreal in 1989. He moved to Salt Spring in 1990 and worked as a carpenter for a variety of quality general contractors, and began his own construction company in 1996. He is a trades qualified Red Seal Carpenter.

Nick has been inspired by Japanese design, and the Arts and Craft movement. High attention to detail and quality materials combined to create an understated excellence. Yet for your projects, it’s your influences that are key and will be incorporated.
